First Gothmund exhibition in 500 years!

In collaboration with the Museum Behnhaus Drägerhaus Lübeck, Gallery of the 19th Century and Classical Modernism, Heiko Jäckstein and Marlis Zahn curated the first exhibition ever that thematically includes the fishing village of Gothmund and the generations of artists in the Traveland community - ten years after Jäckstein rediscovered the artists' location and the subsequent joint research work with Marlis Zahn.

Ernst Eitner, Gustav Wendling, Christian Rohlfs, Clarita Beyer, Johannes Martini, Heiko Jäckstein and other artists: From April 23, 2023 to December 30, 2023, selected works by generations of artists who lived in the fishing village of Gothmund and the Trave region emerged from the 19th century to the 21st century. The accompanying exhibition book about the history of art and artists in Gothmund and the Trave region will be published parallel to the exhibition.
