The locals

In over 500 years of history spread over ca. 500 meters of village, a lot has taken place. Fishing family have always passed their tales, mostly through storytelling, onto the next generation. There was more time for calm in the old days – without non-stop multimedia.

And today: the Gothmund Fishermen still enjoy a short chat, tell a few anecdotes... obviously not when the fish need to be processed... oder the nets need mending... or the cutter needs to be made ship-shape for the next turn... or the kid has piano lessons... or...

There is just too much to do!
